Cloud comparison is genuinely hard
Same workload, different SKU names, different included services. A naive comparison can be off by 5x. We'd rather ship slow than ship wrong.
Egress is the silent budget killer
AWS charges $0.09/GB to send data out to the internet at typical volumes. Most cost calculators ignore egress entirely.
