1. Responsible Lending (CCCFA)
Under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCFA), NZ banks must act as responsible lenders. This means they will heavily scrutinize your income and expenses to ensure this monthly repayment does not put you in "substantial hardship."
